A Message from the Head of Department

Mathematics-Computer Department, which was founded in 1997, has changed its name as Mathematics Department in the 2017-2018 academic year and continued its activities as such since then.

The Department of Mathematics aims at educating students who are adorned with academic and modern knowledge on technology, who perceive continuous development as a way of life, who can think creatively and critically, who are prone to teamwork and who have acquired ethical responsibility and business ethics. Moreover; its purpose is to raise individuals who have the skills to define, model and produce a solution method and make decision-making skills in the fields related to science and engineering.

Mathematics Department curriculum consists of theoretical and applied mathematics courses, as well as courses that provide students with the basic knowledge and skills required for the computer field. Our students prepare and present a graduation project that will be carried out under the supervision of faculty members, where they can convey all their knowledge and achievements.

Our program provides a strong base which will make our students reach the latest developments in science and prepares them to become a part of the cooperation between industry and university. It also creates a ground on which our students follow constantly developing technologies and enables them to do scientific research, which is demanded in the field of engineering.
