A Message from the Head of Department

Psychology Department was established in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the 2006-2007 academic year. The main purpose of our department is to contribute to individual and social human life by educating psychologists to be knowledgeable, qualified and ethical about the examination of human thoughts and behaviors by scientific method and providing mental treatment.

An eight-semester syllabus is prepared considering the needs of today and the future in a way that allows to closely follow the current information and developments in basic psychology fields such as clinical psychology, organizational / industrial psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, experimental psychology. Our academic program is shaped to increase professional experience by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical studies.

The medium of instruction is Turkish. One-year English Preparatory Programme is optional.
